Peer Support Program

Student Care offers personalized, peer-led assistance through one-on-one meetings with trained Case Manager Interns. Whether you're seeking to connect with resources or receive support in navigating challenging circumstances, our Peer Support team can offer a space to problem-solve, develop an action plan, and thought partner with you to establish next steps for your ongoing support.

Support That Meets You Where You Are

Meeting with a Case Manager Intern through the Peer Support Program offers a unique opportunity to connect with someone who brings both professional training and a peer perspective. Interns are trained to offer thoughtful, student-centered guidance, and many students find that talking with a peer feels relatable, approachable, and empowering. When you meet with an intern you will experience:

  • Active listening and emotional support
  • Help identifying resources on and off campus
  • Guidance in navigating university systems

You don’t need to be in crisis to reach out — Case Manager Interns are here for the everyday struggles too.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Start by filling out our inquiry form. This helps us understand what you're navigating and how we can best support you. Staff will review your inquiry and determine the most appropriate first connection — whether that’s with one of our interns or with a full-time staff member. If the Peer Support Program is a good fit, we’ll connect you with a Case Manager Intern for one-on-one support. If your needs are better suited for a full-time Case Manager, we’ll make that connection instead.

Ongoing support that adapts to your needs.

Our approach is collaborative and student-centered. We know that needs evolve, and we’re here to adjust your support plan as you grow and navigate new challenges. You might start with an intern and later transition to a full-time Case Manager if your needs change. Or, if you're already working with a Case Manager, you might also meet with an intern for more immediate consultation, additional check-ins, or follow-up support.

This model also  allows our team to respond to a wide range of needs while ensuring that every student receives timely, personalized care efforts. If your needs evolve, we’ll continue to work with you to make sure your support evolves too.
